We have had so much rain this last month in Sydney, and more to be expected!!!….our cactus collection are swollen and the ground is a mud pit.

Our Fred and family (our main parent garden) are so swollen with H2O its put about 2kg on the usual weight of a 2 foot piece. They are on the verge of splitting. We haven’t lost any of our Tricho’s to the torrential rain or winds yet, thanks to the heavens!!

We have almost lost our old Astrophytum capricorne due to the downpour; she had reached maturity, approx 45cm in height and 70 cm in circumference. She is a precious collector item, one that can’t be replaced easily, unfortunately, due to the rarity of her age & size in Australian markets, ouch the pain and sadness for her condition!!

We have since invested in several golf umbrellas now to protect the other potted collectables, too large to move under shelter.
